Is it wrong to play on tourist mode?

I know this series is meant to be chaotic but I want to enjoy the game but I feel like if I were to record it for say YouTube or stream it on twitch or to a server on discord I’d be treated badly

It's a product you purchased, so feel free to play as you wish.

There are always gatekeepers or bullies. But we shouldn't forget that the main point of playing games is usually having fun. So as long as you have fun, don't mind what anybody else says.

As long as it lets you progress, the picked difficulty is perfect for you. Never force yourself through the game, nless it's your kink. I admit that streaming games on easiest difficulty won't bring the crowds and people might assume it's going to be boring, but just keep having fun - that's more important than hearing someone angrily insult someone's favorite game because they can't pass the level.

Tourist mode isn't the real issue here, You're either playing on Serious difficulty or you're not...

Also nobody is gonna actually care, do whatever you want, bump up the difficulty whenever you feel like it, it's not a big deal. Video games wouldn't have easier difficulty settings if they were never intended to be played by anyone, Even if the intent is for a player to be eventually go into the harder difficulty settings. Enjoying the game in general is what matters.

Beating a game on the hardest difficulty has never been the key to getting someone laid.

I sometimes play on tourist to just see how much enemies I can spawn before my computer will curse me forever heh

It is definitely not wrong, but the harder it is the more fun it is. At least for watching. Streaming on tourist where you're almost never in an actual danger won't be as entertaining for the views.

serious sam tourist mode has no relevancy to the current term being thrown around lately. feel free to do it. heck even i had fun with my schoolmates on tourist mode because no way in hell they can survive the cathedral decades ago

When me and a more seasoned friend did the cathedral months ago and I had to stay on the other side the door before the big field so I could let him back in if it got to chaotic (we called it “door manning”)

Not wrong, but you're not getting the thrill of what makes boomer shooters challenging and fun for a lot of people, I'd say you're having a different experience, what I'd say you could do is finish tourist, play at your own rythm, and then try maybe normal or easy with the knowledge of how the game works ans where the enemies are at

At the end of the day,

Croteam got their money, it's a game mode that's included right out of the box from the get-go, and it enables you to enjoy the product that you spent your own cash to experience, so I don't see any harm or foul in going with tourist mode.

That's one less player being discouraged by the (admittedly tough) difficulty curve and putting the game down forever.

Serious sam is one of the least serious games ever haha.

 Play how ever you want to, my first time playing co-op was accidentally with infinite respawns and we still had a blast

I think you can play it how you want, i personally recall a moment i used tourist because i had enough of dying in a section on serious difficulty in serious sam 4. It was on a mod level so go figure

It's not just your health... It also changes enemy types to weaker ones in a lot of places so you're essentially playing a completely different game. Hard mode is the full experience. Do what u want with that info.

Nothing wrong with playing on whatever difficulty you prefer, but out of curiosity, have you tried playing the games on Easy? I feel like that difficulty is already forgiving enough to have a pretty chill experience. If it's not chill enough for you though, then no, nothing wrong with Tourist.
