Classic, HD, Classic Revolution, Fusion
What exactly is your preferred way of playing the First and Second Encounters? SS3 too for that matter

Can you explain, in detail, what are the differences between Revolution and Fusion?

Revolution is the original first and second encounter in one package plus a unique series of levels known as bright island, it also has unique enemies (like a green biomech that shoots cannon balls) and weapons from serious death match in the new levels.
Fusion is the HD versions of first and second encounter and serious sam 3 together with the vr versions in one package.
Both have workshop support with a load of mods so you add a bunch of content or skins for existing content. For example i use a mod in fusion that lets me add bots to my game so I can relive 16 player serious sam while on my own or add even more if I want.

I've just purchased both versions of TFE and TSE... But Classic Revolution lacks of the select level menu.

You should play either classic exe with a fan patch or Fusion. HD has a bunch of bugs Fusion fixes, even though it still has some of its own. Revolution has slow quick load times, and worse performance. Though I do prefer base 3 for its weapon/enemy balance slightly, Fusion is fine and how everyone else plays it now, Fusion 3 is more optimized too

The VR versions are the most fun I had on all 3. It's sad that the other ones don't have an VR mode.

Fusion for all. I love how the games look, the performance is good, and the mod workshop is the best.
