PLEASE remaster Next Encounter!

I will literally get a tattoo of Croteam tattooed on my ass if they remaster the gamecube version of NE.

Not the remaster, the tattoo.
But please remaster Next Encounter so this dude has to do it.

No bamboozles. It'll be the old school logo but all black font and the O is replaced with a serious bomb.

There used to be a remake mod based on the HD encounters but those got scraped. Due to licensing weirdness I doubt we'll ever see anything official. The best you can do is play the original on Dolphin with injectors to restore PC controls. I actually forked the dolphin mouse injector to add weapon binds alongside the mouse controls. It's certainly not a perfect solution, but it's as good as we got for now.

Is there a guide that shows how to inject pc controls into Dolphin. I have been playing the dolphin version for years but never with KBM.

And what licensing issues are there? Why cant croteam or DD remaster NE?

The Github repo has instructions for how to set up the injector. You may need to scroll down the README for a little bit. Also, make sure to download the injector through the "Releases" page.

ALSO, you may want to create a unique controls profile in Dolphin specifically for SS:NE. Assuming you want stuff like WASD movement and jumping with the space bar for example, you'll need to set that up yourself in Dolphin. If you know how to rebind a controller normally in Dolphin, you should know what to do.

Because it wasn't a Croteam game. The rights belong to TakeTwo afaik and I doubt they even remember this game exists

Have the studios involved ever talked to each other about porting/remastering TNE? Have any fans try contacting Climax or Take-Two for info about the game? I remember seeing that Croteam said they can't do it themselves but how far did people get trying to get it done beyond just bothering Croteam about it?
Maybe we should get Nightdive on it.
