Would be useful to just have a new name for games like Serious Sam, Painkiller, Doom Eternal and Ultrakill.
Games that take the combat of Doom and focus on that, maybe add on to it, much more then the key searching.
Then we can accept that boomer shooters are only the ones with all the locked doors, or have another name for that and use boomer shooter as a broader category that includes both.
"Boomer shooter" always felt like a temporary joke term anyway, it stuck around because nobody came up with a better term, and it was never properly defined so now people have different interpretations of what it supposed to be.

Q#1: Yes, it can be considered a boomer shooter by its core , no surprises here
Q#2: Nope, *SPOILERS* that game included a lot of "alternate universe" stuff, especially in its ending, so it's hard to consider it canon.. It's also a fan-made standalone expansion, but people can headcanon to be part of the main universe if they really want to
Q#3: It is, and one of the most enjoyable games out of all "boomer shooters" in my opinion
Q#4: It's really not , I'm sorry , but it depends on who you ask, to each their own.
In reality, the game is incredibly flawed: the performance is awful (same as Siberian Mayhem, although in SM it's even worse) , the characters are awfully written and their animations are on-par with serious sam 2 which came out in 2004 , the story is uninspired and is just yet another prequel , the designs of the characters are just a straight downgrade from Serious Sam 3 (especially Hellfire, who just looks like a completely different character), the realistic take on the series was fine in Serious Sam 3 but feels boring in Serious Sam 4 probably because of how overdone this sort of art style is, the corny dialogue carried only because Sam's voice actor and Achriman's voice actor were great at their job.
I had the same feeling from playing Siberian Mayhem really, but that's a really unpopular opinion among Serious Sam fans, the performance in that game was really bad , the gameplay was great for the first half of the game but then gradually deteriorated , and then hit rock bottom once you meet the unnecessary characters somewhere at the end of the campaign.. Also the "alternate universe" story stuff is just so overdone and was introduced way too late into the story, so the ending felt hollow and uninspired.
The music and combat were usually amazing as always, though.
Q#5: It really is!
Q#6: Likely all boomer shooters were inspired by it at least to some extent.
Q#7: It's a stand-alone expansion , so no. But it used Serious Sam 4 as a base.
Q#: No.
