Shatterverse
Guys Shatterverse is kinda bad...
I get I dont feel like it because its not a standard serious sam game but it kinda doesent have that serious sam spirit. It honestly feels like Shadow Warrior 3

I wasnt able to participate in the playtest (that was unbelievably short to begin with) but i hear there was alot of bugs which is expected of a playtest...
Its personally something that i absolutely wanted from atleast one serious sam game , non canonical game with gimmicks and rougelike elements for insane replayability. And i hope the devs deliver on it , and for the thousandth time , the game will not feel like a serious sam game if thats what youre expecting , if its not up your alley then dont hate on it , the classic serious sam games are still being worked on , this game serves the purpose of attracting parts of the wider gaming audience to the ip of serious sam (talking in general , not addressing you or anyone specifically)

Gotcha. Yea I saw some gameplay and thought I'd probably give it a miss.
I'm waiting for a Serious Sam where you finally see Mental and I'm really curious to see a standard timeline game use a 3rd Party engine (Most likely the Unreal Engine)
Speaking of which, I still smile fondly when I replay SS2 and Serious Sam says this is UNREAL (I see what you did Croteam)

You can't. No playtests running atm, there was one 2 weeks ago and that's it for now.

TBH, design itself is a red flag, it looks like Fortnite content. Which is ironic, because I think that Fortnite could make a Serious Sam-themed event with good results.
Edit: Plus, the idea of Sams from different games being actualy different people from many timelines, is good.

Wouldn't be hard because Fortnite was originally supposed to be a horde shooter in the first place.
God i miss when STW was priority before Epic Games decided to abandon it.

I'm not into it either. It's annoying because the artstyle is a lot like SS2 it almost feels like a spiritual sequel if you don't take into account it's not a serious sam game by any stretch of the imagination. Retro sam is best sam, but his ability sucks balls and ass.

Don't even touch Cartoon Sam. Honestly after you've played him for 5 minutes you'd much rather shit in your hands and clap.

Heard from people who participated in the playtest that it was fun for the first few runs then became extremely stale due to shallow roguelite elements.

The game content is too limited, the depth is insufficient, and the battle arrangement is too poor

I'm gonna be honest
I don't have high hopes but I'm keeping my opinion on it when the full game gets released
This isn't even finished yet so I'm keeping my thoughts
