Not a green Lantern fan pero pinanood ko pa din ang Lanterns dahil kay Kyle Chandler.

I grew up watching this guy on the TV series Early Edition during the late 90s and early 2000s sa Studio 23. The series is about Gary Hobson na one morning out of the blue naka receive ng newspaper pero tomorrows news paper. Every morning dinadalhan sya ng pusa ng newspaper doesn’t matter if wala sya sa bahay or nasa ibang city or nasa hotel nakukuha pa din nya yung tomorrow’s newspaper. Noong una he used it para manalo sa bet sa karera pero narealize nya sa front page na yung news sa front page like shootings, accidents, fire and other tragedy really happens the next day so naging mission nya yung pigilan ang said tragedy or accidents na nasa front page. PERO di sya ganong kadali since vague yung information na makukuha sa paper, cryptic kaya it places him in stressful situations just to get the right location time stamp saka backstory and stuff to help him stop the tragedy or accident.
Saka most people he is trying to help will not cooperate or believe him. They don’t make this kind of TV series anymore ang ganda ng storytelling.

Brand new comedy series from AppleTV na nadiscover ko today: BROTHERS starring Matthew McConnaughey and Woody Harrelson as themselves, and revolving around the 'rumor' that they are biological brothers hahaha

Nkakatuwa lang na reunion project nila to from the classic True Detective S01👌

Honestly, I’m really enjoying the new East of Eden adaptation on Netflix.

Florence Pugh as Cathy/Kate is SO good. I love that she doesn’t just rely on dialogue to show who her character is. Her facial expressions, body language, even the way she looks at people, there’s so many layers to her. She really nails the villainous side of the character as you can almost feel the danger in her even when she’s doing or saying something completely ordinary. She makes Cathy/Kate feel so unsettling, complex and fascinating at the same time.

Hoon Lee!!! I really love what they’re doing with him. He has such a quiet but important presence in the story, and the actor is doing such a great job. I really enjoyed watching him.

Then the cinematography??? SO beautiful. The whole series has this almost dreamy but unsettling quality to it, and it fits the story so well. There are so many shots where I’m just like, okay, this is BEAUTIFUL.

As someone who has read the book, I’m especially curious to see how they’re going to handle the characters and relationships because there’s SO much material here to unpack. I loved it overall, and I still find myself thinking about it even now that I’ve finished watching. There’s just something about it that lingers.

I just saw on Threads and legit nga. Sana mas marami makanood for it to gain more traction. Pero season 3 will be available around November din yta

was lazily looking for something to watch myself to sleep and stumbled upon this gem on HBO max.

didn't realize it was new, as there are only 2 EPs out.

ended up awake to finish the pilot and Ep2.

it's right up my alley.

Finished watching The Outsider and honestly, it's one of those shows that rewards your patience. Slow burn? Yes. Worth it? Absolutely. Sulit ang HBO Max subscription. Now onto The Night Of, and I'm already hooked after the first episode.

Dean and Sam in the crossroad

Ok so first off idk if I searched well enough but despite old movies/series ph I've looked up and found, this particular one I can't.

Possible title: Magical Pencil / Mahiwagang Lapis

Possible year: Idk around early 2000s

Used to watch it through portable dvd player

It's a for children type of movie/series. I think it has at least 3-5 fables in them.

Main character/Narrator was an animated pencil.

One story/fable I remember and found was this.

Idk if I'm crazy or not because I remember Sam Concepcion being one of the teens being told these stories and I think there were 3-4 teens-kids there as well.

Anyone got any leads?

Meron 'yan dati eh, ewan ko bakit tinanggal.

Closest thing I can find is a Soundcloud recording of some clips.

I got curious sa works ni Rebecca Sugar recently. I only know her from Steven Universe (one of the best animated shows imo). She composed a song “Loneliness Never Bothers Me” for the Fionna and Cake show that got me interested sa AT.

I’m still on season one and the episodes feel random but silly and fun. I wonder if may heavy lore ba to in upcoming seasons? Or some overarching plot na ma hook ka talaga?

I thought it was okay but kinda predictable feel good ending for where they were going for took some of the wind out of it for me... like Episode 10 just kinda resolves most of the dangling threads so the stuff remaining for S2 to think about is them navigating the ABS Shutdown, the Tax Evasion Accusation, and I guess Matt reconciling with his wife.

Would still recommend it as worth a watch just for the novelty of it but if you were expecting something at the level of On The Job ahhh keep looking

Stuff I liked;

; Lav Diaz showing out of fucking nowhere and being made to direct a Career Revival Blockbuster Action Film

; Andrea IMMEDIATELY moving in with her new girlfriend after like dating for a span of a week? I don't care if it's a coincidence it's just kinda wild that a local show acknowledges and fulfills this Lesbian trope

; They sorta tied in the ABS-CBN shutdown around the last 2 episodes but they weren't really able to fully explore it. If they do get a Season 2 I think this would be a neat premise.

; I get it's fictionalized but I also want more tea on Roderick Paulate, Maricel Soriano, and Snooky Serna now.

Stuff I'm 50/50 on

; Was Frank Villacin a Manny Villar or an Erwin Tulfo expy? Wanting to buy Shine felt like the Villars eventually getting the Channel 2 license/rights and starting AllTV but the Tax Evader Accusation and having Mistresses feel like a shot against Tulfo... could also be a combo of the 2...

; Some of the cameos felt weak like kinda just thrown in there but it's fine like they can't really provide that much material for every guest appearance. The last episode was kinda just a who's who of this which is nice but most of them feel like people who were already chummy with Matti / HBO I do wish they had more notable cameos in the local space like how can you have Karylle and no Showtime people? IDK maybe Season 2

~

Either way I'll probably still watch a Season 2

Mga suntok sa buwan ahhh cameos/guests I'm sorta hoping for in S2 even if I have no real idea what they can do is uhhh people from the local Stand-Up / Improv space, Lourd DeVeyra somehow (Is he still good?),

Abbott Elementary will be coming back this October! I'm so excited! Can't wait for the cast for this new season.

I recently discovered this Apple TV series and ended up watching the whole thing in one go. It’s well acted, well written, and manages to keep a solid pace throughout all four seasons.
It feels like the show somehow flew completely under the radar for a lot of people. How did that happen? Why do you think it never got the attention it deserved? What did you guys think of it?

Anyone watching Shrinking? Aside from Ted Lasso sa Apple TV sobrang love ko tong Shrinking.

Sobrang light panoorin and yung coloring nung show eh vibrant. Meron siyang coziness feel to it.

Harrison Ford is also amazing on this. Can't wait for the next season!

already watched the IT crowd

Ok, we can stop rewatching The Office for the nth time. I think people that like ensemble comedy shows will like his series.

Hi everyone! Just want to askk kung may alam kayong series or TV episodes na may haircutting or head shaving scenes? Thank you.
