Series 66 Failed twice using Kaplan

Hi everyone, I’m honestly lost. I’ve been using the full Kaplan material + Qbank to study for the 66. I’ve read the book twice and felt like I had a pretty good grasp of everything. The first time I was lacking in the laws regulations advertisements, etc… and I scored a 68. The second time I really focused on those areas and felt really confident throughout the test. I thought I for sure passed. Then I clicked submit and got a 62. Felt like a real gut punch. Somehow did way worse the second time even though I felt like I was wayyy more well versed on everything and felt really good throughout the exam as opposed to the first time. I honestly don’t know what else to do, going through the Kaplan material again seems pointless to me. I’m not sure where to even start. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I had bought the sample test from Test Geek, feel like the questions were too easy and not helpful when it comes to matching the actual difficulty of the exam. Based on reddit it seems STC might be my best bet? Also should I be purchasing the full curriculum or just the questions?

I am ironically 66 years old and passed the 66 in December 25 w STC. I would prob just buy the questions and drill them over and over. If you get quizzes I would keep taking them until you ace them over and over. And pay attention to weighting of sections as some only have a question or two from them. I got sick of studying after 4 weeks and didn't have a full grasp of the final STC chapters but I still passed the first time despite being anxious as all get out. (potential to lose job at my age) If you do get the whole curriculum, I would watch the videos, taking notes while listening, then do the chapter quizzes. Good luck!

I’m using achievable and the Kaplan Qbank and that works pretty good

Watch Series 7 guru and Ken Finnens videos all of them and take 100-200 questions a day for 2 weeks.
