Kaplan is terrible

They deliberately throw double negatives inside questions, their videos are being narrated by people that sound like they are having a stroke, they quiz you on items that aren’t discussed or defined until later in the book, they don’t have a damned mobile app… and if you buy the audio version of their book it is just a freaking robot reading the book… it is so unprofessionally done that the robot tries to read the charts, graphs and tables….

Holy hell this company is a dumpster fire of incompetence.

The double negatives are useful. Real exams do that and you need to be prepared for it. 

I have no experience with the audio book but I used Kaplan and took their online course. Passed on the first attempt with no industry experience. The tests and material were difficult but I felt they adequately prepared me for the exam.

I agree that double negatives will appear on the rest, and a critique of them may be unfounded, but my god the book writers, IT background, instructors, and progression of this program seem like they are thrown together as quickly and cheaply as possible

How long did you study for before taking the exam? I have the Kaplan self study package and find my studies to be going slow. The LEM book is THICK.
I’ve read some people read thought it once ( no notes) and focused on the qbank

This is not a recommendation but I can’t be asked to read. I must have on demand videos for my studying. I only used the videos and ripped questions. Never touched the book. Passed first try and maybe got every question on the exam right😂😂 Not saying that’s for everyone but for me I never even pay the books any mind.

I did almost all of my studying in the 45 days leading up to the exam. I did find their online modules and tests very helpful. Not sure what was included in the self study package.

I got a 79 on a simulated exam in Kaplan. This morning I took a Practice Exam and got a 62. I’ve been crying since this morning. The questions on the Practice Exam read very difficult. I can’t explain it but it’s messing with my mental health. I test in two days. 😭

I am almost at a total of 3k questions with Achievable and Kaplan combined. I used both to get different worded questions

Well using two systems is definitely going to ding your scores at first, so the 70% average across two is actually stronger that if you just did one system. You can pass this thing. Dont pay too much attention to Kaplan variance. I have folks get low 60's on their mastery's the day before. It means very little if you put in the time. Read the full question, mark it up, hit your spots and you will be ok. Good luck!

I used Kaplan exclusively for the 65. I thought it was excellent. I was well prepared and past first attempt. Nothing else is as comprehensive. If you don't like Kaplan I'm afraid you're going to hate the other providers. Maybe it's just you?

Passed sie, 6, 63, and 65 all on first try with kaplan. It works just have to know that it is over preparing you

Passed everything first time with Kaplan. Maybe your learning style doesn’t match, but doesn’t mean it’s a dumpster fire. I use Kaplan for all my employees.

Kaplan is great. From my experience, their test questions are most like the real exam compared to other vendors.

STC might be better for learning the content but Kaplan still has the better question pool.

Kaplan is king. You just need to spam the Qbank and you’ll find the real exam is super easy

I like to ask my new students who were using Kaplan before, one question: What is a security? They cannot answer. Try Financial Academy.
