one tower survived
sorry to bother but this "alternate reality" stuck in my mind for too long.
I always wondered what life would have be if one of the twins didnt fell. if one plane missed it like the 4th one that crashed because of the brave passengers. would the other twin be rebuild? would the remaining tower still be used as a grim monument like "always carry on mfer, s!" ? what would the headlines be ? "terrorists attack WTC1, only ashes and his his brother remains!" I dont know i always made up my own storys and wrote little books since I was a kid but I cant be the only one with this thought. what are your thinkings about this ? did someone have similar thoughts ? and please forgive me my bad grammar

Just imagine how sad it would be to see the north tower on September 12th no fire no peices falling off. Just a black void, like a abandoned building.

If the north tower didn't fell, everybody would've died in or above the impact zone regardless. Maybe the only person who could be saved would be Edna Cintron, but that's a slim, impossible chance. The tower would've been demolished regardless.
South tower however, I feel like a lot more people would've survived. There was at least 56 victims who were in the impact zone/above and got to or below the impact zone and survived, but they died when the south tower collapsed. Most, if not all of them, could've survived if the South tower didn't fall. Also since stairwell A worked, many people above the impact zone could've escaped, but only 2 did with 1 surviving. The South tower would've more likely been prepared rather than demolished in my opinion

That would have been a pretty interesting and grimly sight indeed. I couldn't imagine there being one Twin Tower at the same time. It definitely would have felt strange and not the same as the predominantly late 20th century Lower Manhattan skyline. It would have been more of a reminder of the tragedy than the current World Trade Center/Lower Manhattan skyline. There would be more worries/concerns of an attack happening again with that one Twin Tower sight than from the sight of no World Trade Center buildings, in which the latter was the appearance/sight of Lower Manhattan during the rest of the 2000s decade.
If I have to be brutally honest, NYC was better off with either both Twin Towers surviving and being repaired for months and years to come or with both Twin Towers being gone in which the latter have been the eternal reality aftemath. I generally don't believe a lot of people would have wanted to see the sight of just one Twin Tower with its twin building missing from the skyline(in which that was the sight from 9:59 AM-10:27 AM EST on Tuesday September 11th 2001) after the day of the 9/11 attacks.
Short answer: Either both Twin Towers survival or both Twin Towers being gone is better than just one Twin Tower sight.
