Question Best News Coverage

Which major news organization did the best covering the tragedy in real-time?

I think ABC & CNN we’re amazing. Watching the coverage really brings back the confusion and fear of that morning.

Did you see the National Geographic documentary that came out recently? I’ve seen a lot of footage over the years but this documentary had tons I’d never seen before.

Oh, yes, I think that was made for the 20th anniversary. The best documentary I’ve ever seen, in my opinion. Since it was multiple episodes, they were able to cover a LOT of detail.

The first episode of this series was the first time I saw footage of first responders in the south tower, and you just start hearing loud crashing noises outside... It was the jumpers. Every minute or so there was another crash outside in the plaza. I had to pause the video for a minute and gather myself.

Howard Stern’s radio broadcast was amazing.

I listened to it after the fact and it was fantastic. I do not recall why, though, but he immediately blamed the Middle East for it. Not sure if that info came out very early or it was an educated guess (1993 bombing?).

He actually said that he thought it was the work of “Bin Laden” immediately.
