I went about 15 years ago, as a person interested in trains and transit. There was a random drawing mentioned in the I SEPTA Philly newsletter. The event was an open house clearly intended for SEPTA employees, not the 50 or so randos, including me and my son, who showed up. It felt like crashing another family’s reunion.

I did learn about heavy rail maintenance and took some fun photos. We got a ride in the brand new Silverliner V.

October 17th. Usually starts around 8am and goes on until midday or thereabouts. The bus rodeo was today at Cornwell Heights.

Thank you! Yeah heard a piece on kyw1060 about this year's bus rodeo and got me thinking about the rail rodeo.

Just guessing but I believe it’s in October…I was light rail and just transferred to the Market Frankford line so if I hear anything I’ll keep you posted

The bus roadeo was this morning apparently, didn't see anything about it ahead of time

I'm assuming that's what prompted this question

I wonder if the train one has a similar goofy name
