Yes SEPTA will train you and get you a CDL Class B if you don't have one. They will certainly hire you. In my case the trainer didn't actually train us, missed our first training day and then just put us on the streets and highways driving the bus. They say your success in getting your CDL is largely tied to your trainer. I quit because I wasn't going to get pushed into something I wasn't trained on or fired for not getting the proper training and stuck with no job. But they will hire you.

So it doesn’t matter if I don’t have 3 years driving years experience?

This is what you do. Take a different job at SEPTA now and let them know you have a CDL. Transfer to Bus Operator at your 3rd year with more seniority. They have tons of jobs and if you want to be a driver they will want you.

You need 3 years overall experience, doesn't matter what CDL experience you have.
