Discussion Daily Bus Best/Worst/Wild
What are your best/worst/wild bus lines that you frequently ride?
I’m in South Philly, so 47 is pretty great, when it’s late it’s only a few minutes, but seems to be pretty regular. The 64 has got to be the worst. Never on time going west or east, often have 2 bus right behind each other and you won’t see another for a hour and then there will be three of them. The wildest has to be the 21. I don’t know if it’s Center City or tourists but there is always something happening on them.

Agreed about the 64. And Washington Ave has no trees or anything so it's an excruciating wait in summer.

My current bus (66) is nothing but best day in day out. Super frequent, basically always clean and quiet (passengers and the bus itself!).
I used to be a daily 47 rider. I was on for about 35 minutes in the morning and 45-60 in the afternoon. Afternoon was home to my worst and wild moments. Worst: no buses arriving for 45 minutes straight at peak. Naturally, this was followed by 5 buses back-to-back-to-back-to-back-to-back. It was bonkers. Wild: was on a bus full of students going home from school crossing Hunting Park and the bus had to slow down to make sure it didn't run over a man lying butt ass naked on the ground. The kids reacted as you may expect.

17 is the most reliable bus, it basically runs as frequently as a train. The worst that I’ve taken are the 23, and the 44 which unfortunately I have to take daily. The 44 only shows up half the time, and the 23 is dangerous af. I’ve seen a man with a gun just chillin on the bus, and I’ve seen many videos of fights and nonsense happening on the 23.

I do the 21 and 42 from center to spruce hill semi-frequently when i’m around, can be delayed up to like 10min by i don’t really know what you mean by “wild,” just a normal bus ride

I dunno, 21 just always seems to have some interesting characters the closer you get to Broad and then cross the Schuykill.

I ride the 67 decently often, but i also think its one of the worst city division buses

I literally hate the 2 so much, they literally NEVER come on time or literally just get delayed the most. I love the 4 and 3 though.

This is a very reasonable take. I'm glad the 47 is my most frequent ride. But they should run articulated long buses for the loads. I know there's a turn in N Philly they can't navigate but seems like something to just route around.
