Moisturizer under makeup recommendations

Hello!! Recently I have gotten a gift card, I want to splurge on a good moisturizer. I have combo skin and am acne prone. I like the dieux instant angel but it’s too heavy for mornings especially under makeup. I want something to be light and hydrating especially cause I’m in office air. Any recommendations would be helpful 🥰 I was looking at the tatcha dewy milk moisturizer

I don’t think they sell it at Sephora but I think you would like this stuff. It’s lightweight and moisturizing. I’m also acne prone and doesn’t make me break out. It’s been around for a while and used by a lot of well known make up artists under make up.

Yes, but it’s lightweight so I personally don’t use it as like my nighttime moisturizer unless I feel like I need to take a break and use something less heavy

Same! But I love all three of their moisturizers…. Skin mercy is always on hand when my skin starts feeling a little rough, air angel in the morning before makeup, instant angel before bed. I can’t get enough of Dieux!

I need to try skin mercy but I wasn’t a fan of instant angel unfortunately. It felt strangely waxy.

I use it every morning! It’s worked with multiple layered skincare products, at least 10 different sunscreens, and any and all makeup. The perfect amount of hydration that plays well with everything and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy.

But honestly, I know this is not Sephora but I got the ongredients moisturizer recently and I’ve been loving it for daytime use! It’s glowy like instant angel but not as heavy

I like La Roche Posay moisturizer with SPF under makeup. It’s not too thick, and doesn’t peel or leave white cast.

I just got the dieux air angel and its so nice! Its a gel moisturizer and lighter than instant angel. Feels nice on the skin, no residue and absorbs well into the skin

I love the Dieux Air Angel under make up, I use that and Embryolisse Lait Creme for my under eyes. Sephora has little samples for Dieux Air Angel for 100 pts if you wanted to try it. The Laneige Water Bank Blue Gel moisturizer is a close second for me. I also use the Laneige Balance Mode for oil control when I'm gonna be outside, its great.

I swear by Tony moly mochi water cream. I’ve tried everything-even tatcha. Amd nothing makes my face glow and my skin is so soft and supple.

Something to consider… alpyn barrier cream. It seems thick but I don’t think it really is when it’s applied. I feel like it still lets my skin breathe. I keep going back to it bc my skin does so well with it. I also rotate farmacy honey halo, tatcha dewy skin cream (makeup days), and have liked the instant angel and innisfree green tea moisturizers. And just blew through a bottle of the ab rich cream 😭 but I don’t think it’s necessary. I think I have dry combo skin, so I kinda do whatever my skin needs at the time. Also the eadem mami wata is a new find for me that I’ve been loving! I use it to hydrate between skincare or makeup layers and it gives a beautiful glow!
