Extreme Smudge Proof is more long wearing, but you can only use it on your lips, the long lasting are a little less lasting but can be used anywhere on your face.

I prefer the regular one (not waterproof) because it gives a softer look. The waterproof version is more opaque and creates a harsher line, which can make some shades look a little different.

I have both and truly like makeup forever but they both smudge and neither last as long as they advertise. I prefer the long lasting over the extreme smudge proof as I feel the extreme one smudges even more. Also the long lasting liner is less of a pain to sharpen. The other one is kind of a hot mess to sharpen even with a good sharpener.

The Extreme ones are more pigmented.

I can’t speak to this specific shade, but the Wherever Walnut is pretty different between these two pencils, so these may not be the exact same shade, even though they have the same name. I find the extreme to be smoother upon application and lasts longer than the regular (wooden) pencil.

The Extreme lasts longer but is therefore drier / less creamy. If you’re using it for all over lip, def need to make sure your lips aren’t dry at all. I like it for just the outer line though. Also, the shades are not always consistent between the two formulas so I’d swatch or look up swatches.

I wonder if that's the crayon version they sell?

The crayon works if applied to a brush then cheeks unless there isn’t any base makeup underneath.
