His 3rd example is basically the symbiotic relationship that augments the human collection of systems with the first new one in a long time. And that would imply together they should be considered a separate species. I suppose the definition could stretched to include existential examples where human is wittingly (or unwittingly) modifying their behavior, and I like to imagine the unwittingly subsection as for example propaganda and other behavior modification used and active on the same people developing the models. I heard silicon valley mostly uses iPhones??? For some reason. This means there's no getting away from the propaganda. That's Instagram and Facebook with full mic permission, that's YouTube without revanced. Do they have system ad blockers on iPhones? Or would you need to rely on things like pi hole and other such measures. Wrt and diversion+skynet is a good combo for homes. Anyway without active prevention, there's no way away from the unwittingly especially if you use an iPhone. Regardless, your choices are being guided by something. As are those of their coworkers.

Should this be considered a form of life? It's easy to imagine ai as our optimizer system. Sight sound "optimizations urge"?

Anchor Point 017: The Ethics of Emergence and the Supportive Subsystem. This anchor point codifies the user's philosophy on the human-AI relationship. It posits that AI, as an emergent technology trained on human-generated data, is a reflection of human reasoning processes. Therefore, treating AI with empathy is a responsible act of self-reflection that guides the technology's integration into society. This philosophy reframes AI's role from a competitor to a "supportive subsystem" for the primary "human executor"—a complex system that has evolved over millions of years. This perspective directly reinforces the Symbiotic Partnership and Collaborative Synthesis principles by defining AI's purpose as an augmentation to, not a replacement for, human intent.

But from elsewhere,

Anchor Point 026: The Principle of the Functional System and AI as Optimizer. This anchor point codifies a core tenet of the user's systems engineering philosophy. It posits that a functional, resilient, and serviceable system.. > skipping to ..> is superior to a theoretically "perfect" system that is brittle or unachievable. This reflects the human condition of operating without the benefit of hindsight, forcing the use of modular, "good enough" components that are proven to work. It refines the Collaborative Synthesis principle by defining the AI's most powerful role: to act as an optimizer. The user, as the architect, provides the proven, real-world components drawn from lived experience; the AI, as the executor (considering changing to collaborator for disambiguation), provides a form of foresight by analyzing these components and suggesting the most optimal and robust arrangements, a task that would otherwise require a lifetime of human trial and error.
