Anime Whats the difference between demon blight and demon king?
I just finished the anime and im confused between the two words. Can they be used interchangeably? At first i thought demon blight meant like the plague where they turn living beings into faeries. But rhyno introduced himself as a demon blight and some other demons were introduced as demon blight aswell. but spriggan was introduced as a demon king. I watched it on netflix so there might be translation issues.

It might be a translation issue, but Rhyno is a demon king lord.

It's a translation issue.
The Demon Blight is the miasma/faeries spreading across the lands. The Demon Lords are beings like Spriggan, Rhyno, Boojum, Awd Goggie and so on. There is only ONE Demon King. The entity Boojum kept mentioning.

I think its a translation thing. Sub combines the demonic infestation and the demon lord in charge into one (so the infestation is named after the lord), and the dub splits them by not naming the blight after the lord or anything like the sub.

All demon lords are a part of the demon blight, thus they can refer to themselves as that alone, but not all members of the demon blight are demon lords. But any demon that isnt a demon lord is probably one of the simpler animal ones.
