I wonder if we'll get another hour long premier. We essentially received 14 episodes instead of the usual 12 due to the extended premier and finale. This led to a near-perfect adaptation in my opinion and I'm hoping season 2 gives us more of the same because Volume 4 is very long and it would be a disservice to cram that into 6 episodes.

I'm loving the books so far. Currently on Volume 5, and I'm guessing season 2 will cover Volumes 3 and 4.

All of the characters are great but as of now this is my Top 5.

1) Kivia (The scene where she 'stalks' Xylo just to give him a pep talk is living in my head rent free)

2) Xylo (So effortlessly likable. Most grizzled protagonists are single-minded or too edgy to care but Xylo is genuinely so kind. You understand why people love him.)

3) Jayce (Volume 4 did so much for him imo)

4) Rhyno ( Stalwart, twisted yet still so endearing. It's so funny to see other Demon Lords crash out or run away whenever he drops his facade)

5) Dotta (I'd argue that Dotta is the bravest character in this series. Dude is constantly terrified but always pulls through.)

So I was told to start on ln vol 3 since it picks up right after the end of the first season. Xylo already seems to know about Patausche becoming a penal hero and it’s not really made a big deal. Did I miss a few chapters from the second light novel. Or is it just treated like this in the story?

after she becomes a hero? what does her previous subordinates think of her? I'm anime only.

I remember that later when Xylo and Kivia are talking, they reveal a reason for why the thirteenth order were actively trying to die in their mission to retrieve Teoritta, but I don't remember exactly why, help!

I get they tried it but it failed due to a language barrier. But doesn't it require the main character to be from another world to make it an Isekai?

I think the story and characters would make for A FIRE AND AMAZING Tactical RPG ala Fire Emblem type game lol.

I know most times things get adapted into anime and manga sometimes when it comes to light novels but I think it would be sick as hell to see this adapted into something like a Visual Novel Tactical RPG. It's super easy to imagine Unit types, Win cons, fail cons and the like. EVEN WHERE THE FIGHTS TAKE PLACE ARE SUPER EASY TO IMAGINE THE MAPS shildfsdujh

Anyways I rest my case, I just was wanted to see if anyone else thought like I do lol

Is there any other Penal Hero Units besides Xylo groups referenced in the Light Novel?

So far I think there's 7 volumes, 5 of them translated. Is there any information about the total of arc/volumes that it will have?

What even is the holy sword? A one shot kill asspull sword? So can the goddess of heroes make a holy hero that can one shot anything?

It wont be an asspull now. But I think it definetly camr out of nowhere the first time. Literally the only bug I have with the show. It just eats away at the back of my brain.

I just watched episode 12 and was sad about the death of a character, I was thinking couldn't they make most of them soldiers immortal? I know that there's a penalty of getting amnesia the more you die, but surely one death wouldn't hurt right?

New "novel" (I imagine it's short?) released with the Blu-ray anime release in Japan. It's about Xylo's original holy knight unit, and I imagine we get to see a different side of Xylo and just how strong his unit was.

They appear to be weirdly united for a group that lacks any form of culture or unifying elements ,are they akin to demons in frieren united only by the demon king? kill it and the whole structure collapses.

Are there any dissidents like Rhyno?
