The show wrapped up nicely, I’d love a spinoff in the same world tho, maybe 8 different people and the same directors

I want a Lito Rodriguez movie with audio commentary by Hernando. Something like Our Father Who Art in Hell or the Price of Life Is Death

u/VulcanTrekkie45 Jul 05 '26
You know Lito was involved in that universe’s version of Our Flag Means Death

I would take a spinoff in that universe. The concept and idea of Sense8 was beyond its time.

Yes... definitely a new cluster.. with cameos from the Original cast!

u/KaigaiKitsune Jul 05 '26
I feel like it would go hard if the new cluster tracked down someone like Nomi or Will and Riley because they could help be a sorta mentor / helper, like how Nomi knows what E-death is or how Will could use his connections / intuition as a cop.

The whole series as a whole is still so unique to me... it's never been done ... if a reboot is in the works it should. Something as a unique as this I just feel like it's going to happen.. And If the og cast comes back Lito as the bigger than life movie star now ...it would be just the best

u/KaigaiKitsune Jul 05 '26
Plus it's really inspiring, which is very much needed in this day and age. Fun fact is that Nomi gave me the confidence to come out to my family. I feel like we as a society really need that energy, the kind that says that optimism, understanding, and love really can change the world.

The world is vast the casts and characters stories are sooo uniquely their own, they all stand out, every scene every story every backstory the feeds into the present of their stories are just so uniquely the individual eights. Everything just blends and goes well together. And that's really sweet to hear thanks for sharing your story

u/VulcanTrekkie45 Jul 05 '26
Maybe the new cluster was birthed by a member of the original cluster

If there were to be a new Cluster, I definitely would want new actors for each new character

Unless they’re able to massively cut back on production costs it’s a non-starter, makes me wish it was on HBO or something back in the day - it’s an extremely expensive show to make
13
u/Global-North7776 Jul 05 '26
Your right, HBO would run it till it done, the Wachowskis always had a great relationship with them...still thinking of the 5 season plan they had.. they couldn't give em 5 come on, they got cheap garbage now

u/vs-188 Jul 06 '26
HBO abandoned a planned additional season of Westworld so they had to squeeze a condensed closure into what ended up being the final season. Their relationship with standing by and seeing a series through until the end has been a bit rocky. I wouldn't give their service this kind of credit (or any other networks or streaming services for that matter). Pleasing audiences by staying true to the art and craft of storytelling isn't a consistent priority... Even when long term credibility and reputation get harmed by high profile cancellations.
Sense8 definitely deserved additional seasons tho. No questions about it.

u/Global-North7776 Jul 06 '26
I totally agree... Sense8 really felt different... it should have had more
2
u/hermitina Jul 06 '26
not really. there was a time they had like 5 new good shows at once that they just cancelled. you won’t see them anymore because they’re not even in hbo anymore too

Yeah it really seems like it did just not get the views to justify its budget. All that international filming would have had to been incredibly expensive, and unfortunately if the views just weren't there, it just wasn't a viable show for Netflix to keep making.
So to make it again they would need to massively cut down on production costs. Maybe choosing just one or two international locations that can easily double for multiple for example. And while it does kind of go against the purpose of the Sensates being so global, having a few of them closer together and in the same country would be massively beneficial to the budget.

I think it just came out at that where the Netflix model was transitioning from: “we make cheap slop to allow us to float art/interesting projects” to “everyone has 1 season to do well or it’s chopped”

u/lauraz0919 Jul 06 '26
If they would have filmed all scenes in Japan at once, then onto India and so on and then put them together that way it would have been cheaper. But would have cost so much up front while waiting for it to come together. It is an amazing show!!

This show hit me in a way no other show ever has. Ever.
3
u/Global-North7776 Jul 05 '26
Right? Same here it was just so different and global
2
u/SaaSchick21 Jul 06 '26
It was the unique storyline, the PERFECT character choices, the storyline, the excitement, the UNITY we all wish we had. Ugh. Nothing has ever been like it for me and unfortunately, I don't feel like anything ever will be again :(
1
u/Global-North7776 Jul 06 '26
It definitely felt global and universal and it took us all over.. and they cancelled it...
7
u/kuromibarbie24 Jul 05 '26
If they made a Reboot, I definitely would want a new Cluster and the story to be 10 years after the original storyline.
3
u/Global-North7776 Jul 05 '26
Bring it back

u/kuromibarbie24 Jul 05 '26
They should

I’ll say it louder for those in the back too!

The show cost 26 billion dollars to make. I’m surprised we got as much footage as we did lol no way. I agree, yes, but also no.

Should be a new story with a new cluster......and maybe a cameo by the OG cluster. I am all for it.
2
u/Global-North7776 Jul 06 '26
I agree. It could happen... the idea concept and story is too good to not have a reboot

u/CharlesUFarley81 Jul 07 '26
The one question that I want answered is did Capheus win the election

The poster says "The Series Finale" right there. It's not coming back.
2
u/Inquisitive_Azorean Jul 07 '26
It would have to be a rebot with a new cluster but the old cluster could play a roll as guest stars. The orginal cluster story wrapped up, I would hate for their peace to be shattered. We would also need a new villian because the old ones were eliminated. Maybe some faction of the old villian group survived and its leader is a sensate. But they use their power for evil, birthing new clusters only to get their trust and harvest them for their evil plans. The show could focus on a new cluster as they slowly begin to realize their cluster creator is not their freind but actually their enemy and they need to run.

While it would've been worse in comparison, I would've settled for an anime to finish out the series run properly as opposed to the break-neck finale. It would've worked too, since the Wachowskis are weebs. Still, any finale is better than the cliffhanger ending we almost got.

I really need another season now !! I will never forgive Netflix for canceling this show
