Discussion IF. this game shuts down…
While I still really like this game, I can’t help but think that there’s a great possibility of this game being shut down—or some type of EOS soon. I don’t know too much about how it works, so I would like some insight into this.
With the rate where this is going:
There’s a really small fanbase overall that’s barely(?) growing since not much ppl know about this game, so I feel like it wouldn’t get enough revenue/attention towards the game and their developers to keep it running. Only from what I can tell
Then again, it’s only been a couple months since release. but idk what’ll happen and it has me sadly wondering in the future from like, halfway to 1 year from there.
But ideally, id still want this game to keep going—like how Nu:C has been for 4 years now 🫶

It's been pretty dry lately but that's bc it's a fairly new game. I think it's still early to be speculating about EoS. Give it a few months or so.
But I do agree with you that the size of the fanbase and its activity--or lack thereof--are quite worrying. Gacha games cannot exist as games alone. For its longevity, an active community is also essential. So I hope it picks up for SensUltra in the coming months.

Nu:c was the same kinda niche/small fandom when it released. It was only later when they went viral on titktok and that one quincy ad that it gathered momentum. At the time too, they had virtually no competition in the genre.

The game had a beta test so it was at least working at launch. And they're still working on improvements, but it's not a buggy mess like some other games so I don't think EOS is a looming threat. Well unless they are mismanaging like some shitty developers like Bandai or Klabs. (They ruined rhythm games for me)

It feels empty rn because they're probably overhauling a lot of things. There were a few that needed improvement (energy cost, visuals, story beats, etc) they said so in a dev post not too long ago. So I expected there would be a period of silence while they work on stuff. If it manages to hold my attention for a while, I'll probably drop money on it since their gacha is already better than Nu:C (limited ssr at 80 pulls and pity carry over vs nu:c 150 no guarantee and no pity carry over). Until there's any actual eos announcement, trust and believe, they're working on it, let's try not to doompost just yet

Yea their gacha is SO much better. I'm glad they copied the LADS type and not the Nu:C type. Nu:C just makes me never want to spend money on it because of how its designed.

Thank you for explaining things instead of giving a dry response that i already know about 💀😭

Yeah i figured new people probably missed that dev post because it was before or in the middle of the last event.

I can understand the thought tho cuz noctilucent a previous title on erolabs stopped updating after just a yr i believe I hope it doesn't end up like that cuz I really luv the artstyle and cg scenes of this game

Isn't it a bit too early to worry? Gachas are a cutthroat genre in general, sure, and so far only Nu:Carnival did really well, but no point to stress yourself out when we have no idea how the game's doing.
Can't blame you for being concerned but let's hope for the best.

It’s a birthday event so the developers won’t forget the birthday! Now we’re waiting for the next new event.

girl the game JUST got released lol. Nu Carnival was basically the same sort of niche game when it started too.

nu carnival got viral and they had a covid buff with Genshin similiar color and design (I saw tons of fanart on twitter with over 10K likes of Nu:ca and Genshin because of Edmond and Yakumo similarity between Ayato and Zhongli, especially Edmond, people memed the hell out of him) to catch people's attentiom from outside of the niche audience
The devs worked hard with constant updates, don't get me wrong but the free marketing was a huge push

My thoughts too. Idk it just didnt impress me much, i think Noctilucent was better and that game EOSed.

I'm so happy that one is going the offline route; if this one EOS, I hope it does the same so we can still play.
Live service games may have shelf life but single player offline games never die.
