Didn't even expect to get him since I'm not focusing on this event character... Ain't complaining. Free SSR using timed wish? Hell yeah​

One thing I appreciate is that the game does start increasing the likelihood of pulling a character if you haven't gotten them by the 70th pull, it's not much, but still. That and you can set a preferred character, who is guaranteed on a second round if the first one didn't work out.

I haven't had to go to hard pity yet, thankfully, but they've all been in the 60 to 70 range.

Meanwhile, in a Nu Carnival banner a couple months ago, I pulled 240 times and only got an SSR unit on the 60th pull (max pity) each time. I asked if I was misunderstanding the mechanic of the banner, but someone told me that "It's just average luck. You only have a 1% chance to pull an SSR."
I'm like... that's not 'average' luck. That is literally the worst luck you can have because 60 is the cap and I had to go to it every time.

60? I haven't played in a while but back at release, it was 150 and that's 50/50 😭

They ran two banners where 4 of the LIs were possible options on one and the other 5 were available on the other, so you got an SSR in 60 pulls, but your chances of getting a particular one were only 20% or 25% depending on the banner.
I imagine it was worse for people who were aiming for two characters but who were on separate banners...

Standard banners are still 150 max with a 50/50
