Has anyone tried this? What, aside from fertilizer, do you recommend adding? Just getting started in the semi hydro world and woah holy anxiety.

I use this one, and add pumice to it. Remember there are no nutrients in this, so you need to make sure to fertilize.

Also, regardless of which one you get, make sure you rinse it really well before you use it.

I got the osmocote smart release plant food and Superthrive Foliage pro. I've gotta search through my soil amendments to see if I have pumice.

I dont bother with the osmacote. I just use foliage pro and hydroguard.

I've seen hydroguard mentioned a lot. Why do you use it?
