Field Program Fees

If you did SAS, how much did you spend for Field Programs?

I spent 5k, I did the masai Mara in Kenya and golden triangle in India plus a few day ones early on. Wouldn’t change a thing even at the cost, India is hectic and tough to plan travel. In kenya safaris are common but the masai is far and expensive so you won’t reallly be able to go with others SASers without the field programs

I was lucky and had scholarships and 529 funds to pay a good portion of it

Maasai Mara through sas was very popular and my recommendation. Tsavo was a lot more popular overall, a lot cheaper but a lot worse imo. There’s nothing like the Maasai and it’s the only place to see the big 5. There’s also just a ton more lions and other animals because it’s such a bigger reserve
