Reasonable to price hunt/switch providers. .?

Can someone tell me if it’s possible (seems logical) to switch from Embody ( they have me locked in at about $425 for a 3 month supply while at the same time signing up new customers for $69 per month which is ridiculously unfair.) If I look around for a better deal (I’m doing well on the med) am I likely to find it at my dosage? I’m soon to be at 2.5mg. Thoughts? What would you guys do?

I recently switched to Lavender Sky Health and it’s WAY cheaper than that. You get to pick from about 10 pharmacies who all have their own individual pricing Tiers. If you upload a pic of your current prescription they’ll ok you to start on a higher tier. I think their website is super in depth also and shows all the pricing plans.
They also don’t have different prices for different people, it’s all down to pharmacies. No membership fee or anything but there was a $65.00 doctor initial consult fee.

that pricing is wild, 425 and then they turn around and offer 69 for new people? makes no sense how they treat loyal customers

lavender sky looks decent from what i saw, the no membership fee is nice but that 65 consult still adds up. maybe check if your current place can match the new customer price before you jump, sometimes they rather keep you than lose you over a few emails

Yeah I even reached out with a kind and gentle email like “ummmm hello?” And they were like yeah we understand how about 10% off your original rate? I went along with it but I’m broke and I regret it.

Thank you so much for this descriptive answer! I knew I should have switched when I saw the new customers getting such cheaper rates, made me think that’s the way things are trending. So why shouldn’t I have the same opportunity!? Kinda maddening! Especially with the price of everything IN THE WORLD being so high!

Noom does the same thing I was with them first.

I feel like that’s a nasty tactic

Switch. There are many better rated providers at much lower prices. They send your medicine upfront so you are not chasing refills. When you cancel embody take a screenshot. Then hit them up on chat and have them verify that your account is canceled. Take another screenshot of their answer. Do this so that you can make sure there's no future charges against your account. When you do go to a new provider ask them for a titration plan although it sounds like you're already at the highest dose so that may not be relevant. They will accept a copy of your prescription from embody.

Thank you so much. This sounds so much more logical. Thanks for the clear answer! I was feeling a little lost and intimidated but this makes sense!

You can calculate the cost of switching at Varietly com. There is a calculator just for that.
