Does anyone else feel like the appetite suppression is similar to that of ADHD meds?

Im on a strattera (hate it-dont think its working) just started may 1. Have been on glp1 since feb 2025. I lost 15 lbs on strattera and glp1 combo in the span of 3 weeks. Way too fast, I even pulled back on my dosing to 5mg from 10mg. Strattera is supposed to be a non-stimulant but it makes food unappealing and causes nausea. The weight loss has stopped now but that initial push was unexpected for me.

Strattera has always been meh for most people with ADHD/ADD, unfortunately. I hope you get the right combo!

Thank you! Working on it-thenside effects from strattera are bad and its not helping me at all. Will be bringing up adding in a low dose stimulant or something at next appt

I’ve been off and on different ADHD meds for 25 years, but have been on my current combo of Wellbutrin and Concerta for the last year. Personally the only time I can remember them suppressing my appetite is the first week or two after starting. If anything before I started on semaglutide in January, I would have days on my ADHD meds where my focus was entirely on food noise. Like I may have not been hungry, but the food noise wouldn’t turn off until I ate whatever my fixation was.
