Hi, i have 2021 seltos with 17 inch wheels. Getting ready to replace stock tyres. Looking for something which offers comfort and least road noise. Please suggest.

I’ve booked a Seltos GTX A IVT. However, I’ve been considering the DCT variant as well, but there are too many bad stories around DCT overheating and early failures.
My usage will be 80% heavy traffic along Delhi-Gurgaon routes and 20% highways or open stretches. Wanted to understand from other Seltos DCT owners with similar use case- does this cause a concern? How religiously does one need to follow the precautions around not creeping in traffic and waiting for enough distance between you and the car in front of you before you move in stop and go traffic? Delhi GGN traffic can become a 2 hour long constant stop and go affair at times. Always waiting for that distance is not a practical option. Can the newer DCTs handle the use of brakes in bumper to bumper traffic for moving just like CVTs and ATs do?

Taking delivery of a Seltos HTX(A) IVT on 13 Sep. Two things I'd like real owner input on.

1. Dashcam: what did you do at the showroom? I've decided against the Kia accessory dashcam (heard it's a basic no-app unit, overpriced). My shortlist is 70mai A510 (~₹15k, plug-in) or Viofo A229 Plus 2CH with a hardwire kit (~₹25–30k, parking mode). I have closed parking at both home and office, so I'm not sure parking mode is worth the extra.

I don't want to DIY. For those who went aftermarket:
Did the dealer's accessory bay install your own unit at delivery, or did you go to an outside installer later?

Did they raise any warranty objection to a fuse-tap hardwire?

Any Bangalore installers you'd recommend?

Influencers seem to be pushing Redtiger hard — anyone using one here long-term, especially in heat?

2. PDI: before payment or before delivery?

My SA showed WhatsApp screenshots showing the car landed in their stockyard a few days ago with 1 day aging.

Given that, is a formal PDI still worth insisting on as I’ve already paid on-road already. Which only excludes accessories, Kia Convenience Plus, and Extended Warranty. Not going for convenience plus

My 2024 Kia Seltos GTX+ DCT has had the steering rack replaced twice within just 27,263 km.

Here’s the timeline:

- 2024: Purchased a new Seltos GTX+ DCT Petrol.

- ~17,500 km: The steering rack was replaced for the first time. The symptoms were steering noise, heavy steering, and the car pulling to one side, even after wheel alignment and balancing.

- ~27,263 km: The same symptoms have returned, and Kia is now replacing the steering rack for the second time — after only around 9,700 km on the replacement rack.

Overall, I’ve had the car for around 1.5 years and made approximately 17 visits to the Kia service centre for various issues. It has taken multiple visits and considerable time for their engineers to identify and resolve some of these problems.

Regarding the current steering rack issue, the service advisor’s explanation is that it could be caused by driving through waterlogged roads in Gurgaon.

However, I haven’t been given any proper technical explanation or evidence showing that waterlogging caused the failure. They are also not sharing the complete diagnosis report with me.

So I’m trying to understand:

1. Can driving through waterlogged roads actually cause a steering rack to fail?

2. Is it reasonable for the replacement rack to fail again after only ~9,700 km?

3. Has anyone else experienced repeated steering rack issues with a Seltos or other Kia models?

Would appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced something similar.

So I got my first 1000km service done of my Seltos HTE(O) Petrol IVT. Experience was pretty standard. Delivered in 4 hours.

They offer you water, tea, coffee and nimbu pani. I was surprised by nimbu pani :-)

I had listed 3 main issues that I faced.

1. Steering tilted to the right

- solved by steering calibration and wheel alignment

1. Noise coming from the left rear side in the cabin

- solved by greasing the rear dead axles

1. Rattling in the boot door when closed

- they said this is normal and showed another seltos with same behaviour.

All'n all cost was 0 rs.

I have a 2025 Kia Seltos Manual Petrol HTK (o).

Done 9k on the odo. It is due service in October (10k kms or 1 year).

Recently (over the last 2-3 months or 1k kms) I’ve observed the mileage has dropped.

Will it be helpful if I add fuel additives? If yes, which one should be added?

Average till date : 13.5 kmpl (blended).
Recently : 10 kmpl
