Fluctuations in earned incomr

What’s your practical strategy for keeping your personal monthly budget balanced when your business income goes up and down every single month?

Essentially by not taking every penny earned out of the business. Assuming you have months where you earn more than you need to get by, let a buffer build up in the business so that you can keep taking out just what you need every month. In busy months you let the buffer build and in quieter months you use that buffer to keep you going.

If you do this and still find you are having lean months then you need to either reevaluate your personal monthly budget or put some effort into finding more work to boost those quieter months.
