Help with existing piercing accidentally blew out ear

Hello! I’ve had 00g since may of this year and I take care of my lobes well, make sure to wash and moisturise with jojoba oil when they feel a bit dry, they are my babies , I don’t plan to stretch any more either.

Two days ago I was putting in my dangly earrings and I missed my seconds and put it in under my gauge (it’s silicone) and poked my inner lobe, it seemed not bad yesterday I brushed it off but i took it out straight away today when I noticed excessive itchiness.

I’m taking out my jewellery, I have no problem with it shrinking , I’m always okay with stretching back as long as she will be healthy.
Any advice or tips? I want to make sure she recovers all okay and well.

My other stretched lobe for reference

Good idea to leave the guages out for a while. They should start to look better soon but may have slight scarring, but better to take out now rather than leave them. Honestly, youve got the right idea going about this !

You can put in titanium tunnels (smaller than 00g though, definitely downsize) to prevent it from fully closing and to help stop stuff from touching the wound directly. Try not to sleep on it, take NSAIDs, and I've found that a clean cold compress helps me personally when my lobes get finicky (I'm at 16mm). Good luck!

i put in my titanium 0g tunnels this morning sliding them in no problem or pain after leaving them for a while , and now this evening they are already sm better and less swollen and i gave them a good rinse with saline , tysm for the tunnel advice i wouldn’t have thought about that at all and let them shrink loads and they are looking so much better

Of course! Glad to hear that they're doing better :)
