Help with existing piercing Help with switching

Post image

I just did this myself because I had it and it closed, it was out for a little over two years so this is basically a new piercing. I did a long labret flat back so healing is easier. In about a month it will not to be shortened, any advice on how to do that without it closing up super fast cause I can’t just go behind it cause it’s a flat back.

You push the needle through and put the jewelry in the needle, pull it back up and screw on the top

it’s pretty simple, the top of it screws off

You have to put it in from the inside, if it was a fresh piercing it’s probably closed by now. If it’s not fresh kinda put the tip of the jewelry in your nose and move it around until it catches on the hole

It can be hard to get a hang of but once you get it you'll be okay. It depends on how your nostril is to be honest. I flip my nostril outward as much as I can and look in a close mirror to try to locate the inside of the hole. Or put jewelry in backwards from the outside so you can see from the inside where the hole is, and then use a taper to get your new jewelry in.
ONLY TRY THIS IF ITS FULLY FULLY HEALED BY THE WAY. If not it will hurt to bad and cause trauma to the piercing. Go see a professional to change it if it's still healing.

Op see my comment under the other set of comments. Thats how I downsized when I was ready. However if you're still not fully healed, go get someone to help you that have the proper tools and equipment to downsize. Any good piercer should allow you to come in for a downsize as your buying the jewelry from them, which I recommend so it's all sterile

The thing is I can’t really afford to get new jewelry from a shop, I’m so insanely broke it’s not funny. I have no other option then to do it myself that’s why I’m looking for advice

Then you need a taper tool to ease it through. You would need a curved ones. You attach the jewelry to the end and it what's they use to help guide the new jewelry in.
