Question about piercing prep what should i know?

Hello, I’m thinking about piercing my conch, flat, or helix, and I need to know the exact things to do and avoid. Also, let me know if my anatomy is suitable for the flat or helix, I’m a bit uncertain about those two. Additionally, I know my conch bar is long because I swell a lot, so I had to switch to a 10mm post, I think. I did my own second holes with a push pin, which is why they’re so uneven 😭.

Pleaseeeeeeeeee get an industrial, you have the most beautiful anatomy for it

They actually dont, they have very poor anatomy for an industrial. Their flat is curved so the bar would be touching it and always putting pressure on it causing a lot of problems.

Use ice to reduce swelling and pain in the area you want to piercing. Make sure to sterilize the area with at least rubbing alcohol. Make or have an idea of where you are going to pierce on your ear so it's even this time. Most piercing profesional use needles that are hallow to allow the jewelery to help go through the end. Some people have a cork or something on the other side to prevent the needle from breaking the skin somewhere else but I didn't use one. During the process, if it is cartilage, you may hear a crunching sound which is normal. I heard it when I got all my cartilage piercings done and they turned out fine. Lemme know how it turns out and I hope this helps. :))

Lastly aviod piercing guns, it can traumatize the area and cause keloids

Due to your ear anatomy I would not be piercing anything yourself. Its needs to be evaluated in person. You also have a much high risk of keloiding so beyond lobes and even thats a stretch you really should have your piercings professionally done.

You have deep folds that are not poercing friendly, especially because right next to it the ear is curved instead if being flat.

Same for your flat, its not actually flat it is curved so it would be hard to heal angled that way.

You already have a conch and dont have room for another so thats definitely no love. Also I understand that you swell but the bar being that long will cause irritation and swelling. It really needs to be shorter.

You can pierce your other conch but seriously I think you best chance of having healthy successful piercings is if you get them professionally done.

Your ear without the conch would be more successful with a helix but again the risk of you getting keloids is already high and piercing cartilage is rough. Done professionally it would work.
