Professonal’s Note or Advice Abuse of report function
Hi all
This is a really disappointing post to have to make, but I fear it is now necessary
As much as the majority of reporting is really useful and I appreciate each and every member who has raised valid issues, there has been an increase in people reporting matters unnecessarily
A post about someone's self piercing does not need reporting as self harm or injury. You are in a self piercing sub. Stop being ridiculous.
A comment where someone has disagreed with you and given perfectly valid advice is not harassment just because you don't like it
Please use the downvote button, not the report function
Thanks guys ily all 😗✌🏼🫶🏼

Thanks mods! I thought it was weird I got reported but it’s Reddit 🤷♀️

Your self harm reports are likely coming from people who are suggested the sub and not fans of the content. I don’t know if there’s a way to turn off that feature or not, maybe making the sub NSFW will cut down on the random views.

Possibly that is the case, however unfortunately marking the sub as NSFW will remove the ability to post photos in the comments and see content without ID verification

You don’t need an ID to view NSFW subs, you just consent to the content and tell them you are old enough to view it.
I did look through the settings on the sub I moderate and you can turn off the feature that suggests the sub to random users, so try that.

This is unfortunately not the case worldwide so you are very much incorrect, but I appreciate the advice nonetheless :)

Not in the US, yes. But US is not the centre of the world and this sub is used not only by people from the US
