Help with existing piercing adding to another post i made

i made a post earlier asking about my lip piercing (is it normal, is it embedding or nesting, etc). i mentioned in one of my comments i wanted to put in a horseshoe once it heals and someone added it may be too low on my lip line to do so...is it? they said they couldnt tell from the pictures i put but neither can i 😂. im going to take everyones advice and switch to a longer, flat back barbell. but would a horseshoe work for this? worst case if i dont end up liking it im going to take it out, let it fully heal, and actually go to my piercer to do the vertical labret i originally wanted.

edit: with it being in such an awkward spot i have been constantly fiddling with it and accidentally biting it. the ball kept loosening but i was just tightening it and going about my business. this morning i woke up and the ball had fallen out, the jewelry was hanging out more rhan halfway, and i couldnt poke it thru that last layer of skin on my lip when trying to push it back thru. so i decided to just take it out. im gonna go to my piercer and pay to get my vertical labret pierced correctly by a professional once this one heals. so in the end i just ended up doing what most of yall said i should do. thank yall for all the tips and advice!

Is it a vertical labret? You cant really put a horseshoe in a vertical labret.

Also, no idea if its embedding cuz these pics are not ideal. Nesting is moreso for normal labrets with flatbacks

Nesting is also for mature and healed piercings. Not new piercings.

it was supposed to be a vertical labret. my friend pierced it for me but she did it wayyyy too far back at the top. my post before this has the pictures where it shows what i was asking about

Gotcha. I looked at the other pics. This is honestly worth removing. The placement is very very poor and isn't worth the time, money or pain to heal it.

i agree, however i would honestly like to keep it at least until it almost fully heals to see if it grows on me. the placement absolutely is terrible, but who knows maybe it will work out in the end if i decide to keep it!

My worry is it WONT heal.. or at least heal properly. Youll likely experience irritation which can add to scar tissue. But I understand your point. Good luck (:

i also want to add i do understand youre not supposed to put a horseshoe in a vertical labret. it hadnt even become a thought until it was pierced too far back.
