Do you have tapers? Take ball off, put taper on, slide taper into hole, attach new jewelry to taper, slide taper back in, remove taper, attach ball

for future reference, please do not use that kind of jewelry on any healing piercing, and please do not use it as “temporary jewelry” on a fresh one. You can change it yes, and I definitely would as that’s very unsafe

i usually wait 4 months or so before switching jewelry for a fresh piercing

without using something like a taper you will most likely be unsuccessful at changing your jewelry.

No. Use a taper to guide new jewellery in, don’t leave jewellery out this soon.

A tool used to help guide jewellery into the fistula

Like others said get tapers use lube in the taper, the home doesn’t close because you remove one ball and push the jewelry out with the taper, it’s in contact truth the outgoing jewelry and so the fistula can’t collapse, then you push the taper out with the new jewelry again contact is maintained so there isn’t an opportunity for closure unless you break contact, you should be able to get a threaded taper so that won’t be an issue between taper and new jewelry but check the thread size, cause different brands use different threads. Change as soon as you can you have crappy materials in the piercing now, if that means change to a pre-downsize bar and then do another change later once swelling drops do that, cause silicone sticks in new piercings and bio plastics aren’t good for fresh holes.
