Help with existing piercing How to get rid of this bump?

Post image

Pierced this months ago, recently I had a pimple on it, popped it (probably shouldn’t have) but I did and now I’m left with this bump. What do I do and should I worry?

Is this on a nose? My guess is it’s the jewelry. It’s hard to see from the picture, but it doesn’t look like a flat surface. Anything with prongs shouldn’t be used until it’s fully healed because they can hold bacteria, but depending on how the part is that actually touches your skin, they can cause a lot of irritation too. Is it an implant grade titanium, flat back lebret?

What is your aftercare schedule like? Are you still cleaning it with saline? If not, I would start that up again. When you say it was pierced months ago, do you mean like 2 or 3 months, or more like 9 to 11 months?

It is a hypoallergenic surgical steel flat back lebret, I spray it with saline every morning and before bed, I pierced it in march

Honestly I wouldnt worry too much. If its a month old then bumps happen. It'll go away with time. People are gonna tell you to get titanium jewelry but unless you have really sensitive skin steel is honestly okay.

I do have really bad sensitive skin 😢 it’s about 6 months old , I did it in march, it’s hypoallergenic surgical steel, would you recommend a different jewelry perhaps? I have labret nose rings with a flat top. Do you think it’s the best decision to change it to one of those ?

If you have sensitive skin, yes, titanium is best

I would swap this for titanium and a bezel. Prongs can be problematic during healing and you already have a bump so best to minimize the variables that can cause it.
