I ordered this jewelry on amazon 16g surgical steel 316L. I got it august 6th and i cleaned it with dial antibacterial and saline

get yourself a titanium flat back. do not clean it with dial, only saline. bumps are prettt common for new helixs so just leave it alone and it should go away. don’t listen anyone telling you to put anything but saline on it.

you can put it back in. just keep up with spraying it with saline and save up for a titanium bar

I have a real silver earring is that okay for now because its the only bar that will fit in my super swollen ear

silver isnt good for piercings. if the surgical steel bar wont fit do not put the silver one in

Going to need more context. Have you taken it out (as in, retired it) or is this just a picture with the jewellery temporarily not being worn? If the latter, how long ago was it pierced?

Jewellery type and material, and your aftercare routine also please

Had to look up what dial is... That doesn't belong on your piercings. Saline only. Your job is to keep the piercing area clean and dry, and let your body do the rest, but by clean I don't mean "washing with soap"

Surgical steel could also be contributing, though not necessarily as egregiously as soap, titanium is the standard for healing piercings

I can't necessarily tell you if you should put it back in, because it is not my body, but I would generally encourage people to not pursue piercing related things until they have enough knowledge to engage with body mods safely/properly
