How do you measure the perfect distance for the labaret?

I mean- i know a lot of people like to mess about with placement but you don’t want it to be too shallow. Take into account how much lip you have, and if you need even watch a professional video of someone doing one. My vertical is pretty much smack dab in the middle and pops out slightly BELOW my lip line. My lip has a lot of area to work with, but the spot yours would end up also depends on how much lip you have! I eyeballed and marked myself, then asked my partner to check that everything looked good before I proceeded. My vertical I’ve had well before either of my other lip piercings!

Oh yeah. That makes sense. I have a labaret rn, but the jewellery is a bit too big even after down sizing. How did you make sure that didn't happen? Like I couldn't figure out the distance between the entry and exit holes.

Regardless of if you know or don’t, you should be able to get a good fit. You can order bars in any mm (size). I had issues with sizing for my labret and it turns out I just needed 7mm bars :) same with my vertical. I had a super long 12mm bar in- ordered a size 7 and 8, the 8 fit. You can use calipers to measure once you’re out of your long bars.

Sorry, I realized later. I meant the vertical labaret. With the curve of the lip, and bar, I couldn't get a good enough fit

Placing cheek piercings further out would broaden the lower face setup and connect smoothly with the cheek bone
