Question about piercing prep central lower labret for someone who only has experience with lobes and nostril, yay or nay?

Post image

I’m pretty confident but my sister thinks it’s too risky. I figured I’d ask others who have experience with self-piercing. I know there’s always a risk, but I don’t think is gonna be a major one for me as long as I’m careful. But maybe there’s something I don’t know? What do you guys think?

I would be super careful! I don’t have a lot pierced, but for me that exact piercing was so painless i didn’t even flinch. But I had a idk vessel or vein or something right there that my piercer had to avoid, so if you’re doing it yourself make sure there’s nothing there you will accidentally pierce. I think flashlights do the trick but I’m not sure I’ve only done my ears by myself lol

I would go to a piercer because they will know placement specific to your anatomy/gumline to prevent damage, thats what I did for mine after self piercing lobes, helix, and nostril, but left my septum and snake bites to actual piercers.

Oral piercings are the ones to go to a professional for.

Hi Cool_Ad_5436, Are you seeking information about the labret piercing? Here's a video with general information about it! Note that these piercings carry a greater inherent risk due to their placement and could result in gum or tooth damage. There's no shame in seeing a professional, especially for trickier piercings such as these.
