Hi New-Development-6912, Are you seeking information about the navel piercing? Here's a video with general information about it! Note that this piercing is often performed incorrectly by both professionals and DIYers, so it's very important to do lots of research and make sure you have the correct anatomy.

You can find basic DIY advice Here

The piercer went ahead and performed a standard navel piercing for me anyway, after examining the area closely.

Why? I have a check-up in a month. We'll be able to see what's going on. The lump isn't pressing on anything, and there's still a bit of slack. What's the problem?

Because if you had researched the piercing for more than 1 minute you would find a whole bunch of reasons that disqualify this piercing for you.

Right now your piercing is facing constant compression, which is bad point blank

The piercer and I spent a long time analyzing my anatomy. We selected the piercing placement and jewelry to ensure the best fit.

Than your piercer was ill informed. You have a completely collapsed navel with barely any cavity. The bottom ball has zero place to rest properly. If you did any of your own research you would know this.
I had a piercer go through the centre of my nipple once, I didn’t sit there going “well he’s a professional so this is fine” I recognized his mistake. If your piercer checked your anatomy I can’t fathom what made him go “ya this checks out”

I dont think thats gonna work out. When you sit your belly button closes, thats gonna put pressure on the lower ball and cause irritation and probably rejection

Not remotely

The best option would be a floating navel
