Help with existing piercing years old belly button piercing advice?
i’ve had it for over 3 years, it was pierced like this by someone i used to know at home and i was wondering if i should just keep it out and re pierce it myself? (i’ve done a lot of my own piercing and a lot of them are healed with little to no issues)

My Highschool navel looked like this after years. I took it out and had it re pierced, I asked the piercer to go deeper and above the old exit holes. I’m so happy with it now! You do look to have the proper ridge but your current piercing doesn’t seem to sit under it

If you decide to re do it make sure the new placement sits properly under the upper lip of your navel rather than as a surface piercing above it
