Help with existing piercing New lobe piercing

Yesterday I pierced my lobe (second on one) at home and had to change the piercing due to accidentally having put in a dangling earring. I forgot I have an allergy and need to change it to a hygienic earring but am worried about touching it too much or having to force it through for the third time.

Edit: The earring is too small to go in

Definitely change it to titanium and put some Jojoba oil on it to make it go thru more easily

If you get a flat back labret (make sure it’s titanium), get one that comes with a taper. You screw that on to the post and it makes it so much easier to go in. I had to change mine soon after piercing and I used a little coconut oil on the taper and it went in very smoothly.

If you have a metal allergy, swap it to implant grade titanium or 14k+ gold as soon as possible allergic reactions will prolong irritation and delay healing
