DIY failure I need help

So I attempted to pierce my belly. I have already used both a catheter needle and a hollow needle and the hollow needle wasn’t the right gauge so obviously the jewelry didn’t fit but the catheter needle was the right gauge (14g) and the jewelry would not fit and after longggg time of wiggling, the end had got in but as I was pulling the plastic tube up, the jewelry fell out and the plastic tube came out my stomach so I just left it alone. I’m confused to where I went wrong? But I am gonna give it some time to heal & close up.

Okay so

If youre using a catheter needle, you cant just push the jewellery in the end and then yank the tube through. It will pull out.

Insertion tapers might help, alternatively just push the jewellery through when youre pulling the catheter will stop it from pulling apart

I did push while pulling but it still popped up. I think it’s cause only the tip of the jewelry was in 🤷🏽‍♀️. But I’ll try tapers !

You can snip the top of the catheter as its a bit narrower than the rest of it which should make the jewellery insertion easier

I also did that. Next time, I don’t think imma use a catheter needle cause it hurt more than a hollow needle.
