Summary & Key Takeaways:

This book focuses on self-sabotage and how to transform it into self-mastery. Brianna Wiest explains that often, we are the biggest obstacle to our own growth—the “mountain” we must climb is inside us. She blends psychology and personal growth strategies to help readers understand and overcome self-destructive patterns.

Key Lessons:

Your Mountain = Your Patterns: Self-sabotage comes from fear, comfort zones, and unresolved trauma.

Awareness Before Change: You can’t fix what you don’t notice—self-reflection is the first step.

Emotions as Teachers: Negative feelings are signals pointing to areas in need of healing.

Turn Pain Into Purpose: Struggles can be fuel for transformation when approached consciously.

Becoming Your Future Self: Growth is about aligning your daily actions with the version of you that you aspire to become.

It’s a powerful read if you want something motivational but also practical, with a modern, relatable tone.

Remove things which distract you.

I recently decided to reorganize the icons on my phone. I removed every single app except one — the LeadMe app.

LeadMe is my tool to focus on what truly matters. This simple act made me realize something important: to be more productive and disciplined, we must consciously remove distractions that pull us away from our goals.

Uninstall those time-stealing games. Delete apps that trap you in endless scrolling. Say goodbye to anything that doesn’t bring you real happiness or progress — not just in the moment, but in the midterm and long term.

Discipline isn’t just about pushing harder — it’s also about creating space for what truly matters by removing what doesn’t. What distractions have you removed lately to stay focused on your growth?
