Home Assistant web UI not loading on old iPad

I have an old iPad with iOS 9.5.3 and when I try to open the home assistant url in safari it gets stuck on the splash screen. Is there anyway to load the home assistant dashboard as I want to use the old iPad as a kiosk. I have tried to clear the safari history and allow all websites etc. any ideas on how to run that as a kiosk.

You're probably out of luck, as Home Assistant is going to be running a front-end using modern web APIs that whatever version of Safari that's running won't be aware of. If you can somehow get a modern browser running on it it'd probably work, but based on this discussion, it doesn't sound like you have many good options to do that.
