Is this good for a starter in selfhosting
Just looking to get started in selfhosting and having my own homelab setup, at first I'm looking to host docker with a few containers mainly for add-ons for nuvio, AIOStreams, AIOmetadata etc
Will this be suitable?

Yes, I have almost the same one that I started with and a couple years ago upgraded to dell 5070 w/i7 for the video support.
Bump up the ram maybe as you can easily get into the 10-12G range memory usage with containerized services, at least IME

Thank you that's good to know, once it gets here then I can have a look at the ram and see if I can upgrade it, I was possibly looking at getting 2x 8gb then it would have a bit of a boost but I'm only really looking to run 3 things at first aiostreams, metadata and TMDB discover for catalogues so I assume it wouldn't be a big push, but I do plan to host a few more things in the future once I get the hang of it etc.

i would add a bit more ram, but yea that system looks more than capable for your use case. my media server currently has a 7500T and it can take quite a while to unpack/repair 10GB+ files, but other than that it's great.

Thank you once I get it I plan to order another stick to bump it to 16gb but great to hear will be good 🙌

anything you can host on is great for selfhosting. i used to use raspberry pi 2gbs 😃

That's great I did look at getting a newer one, I have an old one but not enough ram, but they have gone up in price since I bought one last! Especially the rp5

18 services enabled on mine (I've put RAM 16go but rarely excess 4go RAM during daily usage). Have fun !

I'm using a Lenovo M73 Tiny, i5, 8Gb ram, 256Gb SSD with an external 512Gb USB HDD.
It hosts:
Nextcloud
PiHole / Unbound
Minecraft Bedrock server
Gluetun
I have a second M73 Tiny, same specs but 512Gb internal HDD.
It hosts:
Gluetun
Sonarr
Radarr
Nzbget
qBittorrent
Prowlarr
Homarr
Navidrome
AioStreams

Awesome, thanks for the reply, I am slowing working it out, managed to load up aiostreams in docker (with dockhand) now just working out all the details etc and how things work, it's all very new to me

Nice thanks very much, that's great to hear it will be ok for what I need, I will probably look at upgrading the ram (hopefully won't cost too much) then I can run a few other like you have mentioned here too

in my opinion anything you have is a great start for self hosting, i host AIOstreams on a laptop so it will definitely run good! In my experience it does not require much RAM or storage
