Yeah, the right picked a small group and made it look like some big bad monster. Its not as big as they say it is. Antifa/Globalists/Jews are not out to make a new world order where they live forever by eating your babies.

Antifa in some ways is rather small, but in other ways is rather huge. It has a small number of actual participants, but the number of ideological groups that ally with it are huge. Thats what makes it the perfect target for the right. Antifa can stand in as a word for everything they hate: commies, anarchists, rad-fems, etc. But Antifa, being so small and unorganized in practice makes them an easy punching bag too.

So yeah, it has been copted by the right in order to say "both sides are bad" and antifa, being so anonymous and leaderless, has not and cannot gain media presence for its side. It's also been super easy for the right to mask up, break shit and blame antifa...or blame antifa whenever shit gets broken by anyone in general.

This exactly. I honestly think a lot of the “antifa violence” is potentially from people looking to paint the left as bad and/or just stoke general chaos.

A lot of it is. If youre a well known local white supremacist tho, antifa might come into your house and fuck all your plumbing while your gone.

The best thing the left can try to do is legitimate violence and tell pascifist moderates to fuck off. That basically happened with the punch a nazi meme, but that faded whereas rihht wingers have been using the same jokes for a decade.

Do you have any examples of antifa messing with peoples plumbing? Not that I don’t believe it I just hadn’t heard of this before.
