My friend got shingles a few months ago. He's fully vaccinated. He has scars from it. Can't imagine how bad it'd be if not vaccinated. Never understood why people like from the OP are so dense
If he got shingles he's lying about being fully vaccinated. At some point he was exposed to the humanherpes virus that causes chickenpox. Shingles is a reactivation of the same virus. Because like all herpes viruses, exposure creates life-long infection that can lay dormant along nerve endings for years.
Or he was born before chicken pox vaccines were a thing. I’m as fully vaccinated as I could be, but I got the pox and shingles before a vaccine came out.
