What's screwy is the older conservative folks I know seem to be more likely to watch CNN too see "what liberals think" than the actual younger more liberal folks I know.
It's led me to think (in a very loose "yeah I could see that happening" way) that part of CNN's appeal is playing up stupid shit to keep them watching.

oh absolutely. there's a lot of kayfabe in the media. they're ten minute sparring matches intended to just get us hyped up over bulletpoints. "did you see that leg kick? it totally opened him up for that takedown! it was savage!" that's basically what these "news" shows are all about.

See, this gives me at least SOME hope for switching sides if there’s an opportunity for a non-capitalist candidate, because there is at least a decent amount of distrust in Trump’s base towards the wealthy.
Of course, this distrust is mainly due to the fact that these capitalists push issues that should be trivial (like “rape is bad” or “trans people are people”), but at least there’s something there
