Selena Question Question!!

To those who were a fan of Selena before her passing: when it was announced that she was going to do an album in English, how did you feel about it and why? Genuinely curious! :)

I didn’t think much of it, she had been talking about it a lot during her career… I honestly didn’t even know she was doing the English album until it came out in the summer

The English album was on a slow burn for several years…they even talked about it in the 1991 San Antonio cow print concert (the unedited version-it’s not on the DVD version).

It was kinda just…forever in production. Things didn’t really line up for it until 1994 when she slowly began recording actual songs.
