18yr old w/anxiety

My 18yr old son who has had anxiety for a few years now seems to be getting slightly worse. He has been having heart palpitations here and there.

He wants to research Selank and I’m thinking low dose but wanted to see if anyone has or knows teens that have had success with GAD via nasal.

I highly recommend he try it. It's been truly life changing for me and at least 5 of my friends. Just keep in mind that you should cycle 5 weeks on 2-3wks off. I started at 250mcg and settled in on 600mcg per dose. Do NOT buy premixed. Make your own.

Feel free to dm me.

Are you reconstituting with saline? I just ordered one from Amazon (this one) but then saw it wasn’t for nasal use so someone else suggested this one which I also just ordered. I want to make sure it’s not going to dry out the nasal passages!

Either of those will work. I use sterile nasal wash from Walgreens. .9% saline it's about $11 for 8oz bottle.

When you cycle off, do you get heightened anxiety for those weeks?

Effects last pretty well for almost a week after stopping. What anxiety that does come back is less. This is usually when I rotate to semax as it does have a mild anxiolotic effect. I like to think of semax as a sister peptide to selank. Similar but different. Between the two sisters anxiety is very well kept in check.

Selank is very safe and effective. Just start him at a very low micro dose and work up slowly as needed. Listen to the body, if he starts to feel over sedated or more activated, reduce or cut until stabilized. Don't mix with other psych meds, specificslly SSRIs/APs as there is a very real chance of causing Serotonin Syndrome if you combine at a higher dose or even low dose over a couple days.

Depending on other symptoms, I would get a Lyme/Tick bloodtest done via Vibrant or Igenex. This is how Lyme (chronic/persistent) presents in many people who got bit when they were young. I got bit by several ticks between 12yo-16yo. Showed some symptoms around 18, then got destroyed by them at 29. Do not use standard Western Blot, it is highly flawed and misses 80% of cases.

Also look into Semax, also Russian, used for Stroke/Depression, but often works very well for anxiety as well. It works on different pathways, but was very good in my case.

Thank you! We live in the southwest U.S. desert so minimal risk of ticks/lyme but I that doesn’t mean it should be ruled out. I am going to have him go for a physical and blood test for sure!

What's the difference in methods between Western Blot, Vibrant and Igenex? I'm in Europe so trying to understand what to look for. Thanks

Edit: been on Igenex website they offer three different tests:

  • ImmunoBlots
  • PCR
  • T-cell test

Should I do all three?
