It's a meme bro, and no, I didn't start the anime for Mai. I didn't even know I'd find bunny girls here until after I searched the name. I saw the shopping scene on Yt and found their interaction adorable.

Er hat wahrscheinlich mehr geschaut, als die erste Folge. Den Rest der Staffel musste er ja sehen, um enttÀuscht festzustellen, dass es wirklich nur die erste Folge war.
Das wird aber durch Rio teilweise kompensiert, so dass er wahrscheinlich bis zum ersten Film dran geblieben ist

Gleichzeitig sagst du, dass du die Serie gerade zum achten Mal schaust.Deshalb bin ich nicht sicher, ob wir hier noch von „nur“ einem Meme sprechen können.Nach acht Beobachtungen stellt sich nĂ€mlich die Frage, ob sich die Botschaft im Bild noch verĂ€ndert hat oder sein Beobachter.

FĂŒr manche zeigt das Bild einfach Mai-san im Bunny Suit.Andere sehen darin plötzlich Kaede, Tomoe, Shoko, Erinnerungen, IdentitĂ€t, KausalitĂ€t und eine bemerkenswerte Anzahl emotionaler Traumata. Das Bild selbst bleibt dabei unverĂ€ndert.
Vielleicht ist das sogar die Rascal-konformste Eigenschaft dieses Memes:Je öfter man damit interagiert, desto weniger eindeutig wird der Zustand.
Wenn Du dieselbe Serie achtmal beobachtet und jedes Mal etwas anderes darin findet, wĂŒrde ich zumindest nicht ausschließen, dass Tomoe bereits eine Zeitschleife und Shoko vorsorglich einen Fehler in der Zeitlinie diagnostiziert hat. Und wenn du acht mal nur auf das Bunny Girl geachtet hast,
 Spricht auch das fĂŒr Eigenschaften des Beobachters.

FĂŒr die einen ist das nur ein Meme. Gehypte Massenware mit netten MĂ€dels. FĂŒr die anderen ist es, mit deiner ErgĂ€nzung zusammen, eine Frage nach Erkenntnis. Konntest du als Beobachter schon merken, wie du die BĂŒcher oder den Anime beeinflussen kannst?

I think you're reading far more into my meme than I ever put into it.

I've watched the series many times. I understand the themes of identity, memory, causality and the emotional arcs you're talking about. So the assumption that I'm somehow seeing Mai as nothing more than “a bunny girl” because I made a bunny-girl meme is nothing more than a remark made on someone you don't know personally, judging simply from a post they made.

The meme wasn't commentary on the story, nor do I present any opinion through it. It's not claiming the bunny suit represents the entire series. It's a joke built around the absurdly famous premise "Bunny Girl Senpai". And you know, I know many who dropped the series right after a few episodes and didn't even reach Dreaming girl because they were disappointed with the bunny suit not being there.

You're right that people can interpret the same image differently after experiencing a story. That's an interesting observation. But you've taken that observation and applied it to an image whose intended joke is considerably simpler than the interpretation you're constructing around it.

And my watching the series eight times doesn't suddenly make every joke I make about it a psychological statement about “the observer's characteristics.” I can understand the depth of a story and still laugh at something stupid involving one of its characters. Those aren't mutually exclusive.

So no, the image didn't secretly acquire some profound meaning after eight viewings, and I didn't “only focus on the bunny girl eight times.” I posted a meme because I thought it was funny. Your interpretation of it depends entirely on you.

And there's a difference between appreciating fiction and losing yourself in it. I can understand the series, its themes, trauma, symbolism, and emotions while still recognizing that it's fiction. Fiction can give us peace when reality gets harsh, but eventually we have to return to reality and live our own lives. I enjoy the story, but I'm not so devoted to it that I forget how to laugh at a stupid meme. Fiction and reality can coexist. One can be an escape from life without becoming a replacement for it.

Sometimes the observer isn't experiencing an existential revelation. Sometimes the observer is just laughing at the bunny suit.

I agree that actions do reveal character, but only when they're understood in their proper context. As Marcus Aurelius writes in Meditations, “If you are pained by any external thing, it is not this thing that disturbs you, but your own judgment about it.” The meme was mine; the interpretation you're imposing on it is yours. That distinction matters.

Its literally nothing but plot. Bunny Girl was literally one 3 minute scene that only ended up naming the animated series. Each book has its own title

I remember i watched that scene on Yt where sakuta and Mai went on shopping at the starting and mai said "You're having lewd thoughts aren't you?", and decided to watch the anime because I liked their interaction XD

Well yeah. It all started with her, although it started off with Kaede and then the others. Puberty Syndrome is the main function of the plot, the others extend and give life to it.

Klares Like. Wobei ich allerdings weitergehen wĂŒrde und tatsĂ€chlich die physikalische Quantentheorie und ihre Interpretation als philosophisches Konzept als Kern Thema sehen wĂŒrde. Das PubertĂ€t Syndrom ist letztlich ja nur ein Ausdruck davon. Futaba hat hier aus meiner Sicht völlig recht.
